What is the different version of the Little Mermaid?

when i was little, i watched a different version of the little mermaid. i thought the names were the same and stuff like ariel but i may be wrong. it was a little more scandalous, the prince had another "princess" and the mermaid had to kill the other girl to get the guy...it was really messed up...does anyone know the name of it??
