If I thawed out a chicken in the refrigerator can I cook the whole thing in a crock pot if it is the kind that?

gets really hot? I want to make homemade chicken and noodle soup but want to cook the chicken ahead of time. Will be busy in the am and it will save so much time if I do it that way.
